The liquoreux 2004

The harvest lasted from October 26 to November 2 in glorious sun. Two select picks were necessary to obtain grapes containing more than 24 degrees of sugar on average (more than 30 for the first pick) with a total yield of 7hl/ha. The purity of the botrytis, the concentration and especially the freshness marks the wines of this vintage. The two select picks happened without interruptions, the botrytis arriving quickly after the rains of mid october. La Madame is made principally from the parcels of vines with a clay and sandstone soil from the foot of the slopes.

Cuvée Madame 2004

‘More concentrated, more pure, but also with even more freshness than the Cuvee ‘simple’. This is a superb wine, full and generous, which competes with the greatest sweet Bordeaux’ Guide Bettane et Desseauve 2009

Château Tirecul La Gravière 2004

‘fine, elegant, with aromas of great purity. The palate is concentrated but creamy and with a fresh finish. Magnificent balance’ Guide Bettane et Desseauve 2009

‘What should we praise? The exceptional terroir of Tirecul la Graviere? The titanic exigence that Bruno Bilancini imposes on himself? Both are unquestionably worthy of praise. A majestic success! Robe of shimmering old gold, nose of musk, worked and complex with crystallised citrus and exotic fruits. In the mouth, combining luscious gourmet light freshness with balance. Great art and great finesse’ Pierre Carbonnier, l'écho du 20 February 2009.
