The liquoreux 2002

The harvest lasted from 7 to 31 October. Two select picks were necessary to obtain grapes of 22 degrees of sugar on average with a total yield of 8hl/ha. The purity of the botrytis and especially the freshness mark this vintage Madame. The two select picks were 15 days apart with botrytis spread regularly throughout the vines accompanied by morning mists and afternoon sun. This Cuvee Madame is made from a majority of grapes from the second select pick.

‘Le Chateau Tirecul La Graviere tasted alongside Yquem 2002 perfectly merits a comparison. It’s an excellent wine … the result of several select picks to obtain optimum botrytis’. Jancis Robinson
